We found the web-site, made the copies, filled it in and put it in the mail. Now we are waiting. It seems to be taking a long time to get my business license. I guess I am use to email now and not to "snail mail."

"Snail mail" never bothered me before. I get so little in the mail now besides advertisements. I never even called the US postal service "snail mail" until I began waiting for this.

We do live in an "instant" society and I am very fond of it. Instant internet access and instant pudding included. But, it does tempt me to impatience and that is not good. So, I'll just wait. Learning to wait is a good thing...not a lot of fun...but good.

What type of business?

A wedding flower business. I do other types of floral arranging too.

Well, we decided on Limited Liability. Now I can put llc. at the end of everything. Thanks to Howard for the advice! What this means to me is, if someone decides to sue Amy's Wedding and Event Flowers they can have my floral knife, some vases and a box of floral foam. But, they can't take our car or our house or our retirement. We are looking forward to that retirement! :)

Now all I need is a state business license and an FEIN. And the gal at the library meeting said I need a Business Plan... and a Mission Statement...and a business bank account... and I need to do market research...and come up with a Marketing Strategy.

Ummm...yeah...how hard can it be?

Can you believe it took one full day to come up with such a simple name? I guess all we did was eliminate all the 'creative' names. You mean you don't like "The Flower Whisperer'?

Can you believe it took a whole day to buy a web domain (not just a name, mind you!) Yes, I am slow at this. (But you should see me whip up a boutonniere!)

I can't use the name I want. I can't come up with a different option. Eric:"No dashes and no numbers." Me:"Whining noise."
